The Royal Cornwall Show is pleased to announce that they will be hosting the National Show for the Dorset Breed Society, as part of the 2025 event.
The Dorset breed is one of the oldest native breeds in the UK, dating back to the 17th century, and its first flock book printed in 1891. The Dorset Breed Society now has around 500 members, with the breed able to lamb at any time of the year, it has become a very popular addition to farms.
As is tradition, the President of the Dorset Breed Society will be judging the National Show, which this year will be Mrs Helen Driver, a renowned breeder with her Sandylane flock. In recent years, the Dorset Breed Show has moved around various county and agricultural shows, and seen over 100 exhibits across its classes.
