Watch our Farm & Country Roadshow Video
In November 2017 we launched a new education initiative that brings food and farming to more Cornish primary school children in Cornwall. Since launching the roadshow we have had just under 9000 Cornish Primary school children visit us.
Farm & Country On The Road has been created by Emma Parkyn, our education coordinator, who is a qualified primary teacher with an agricultural background.
Our Farm & Country trailer is kitted out as a mobile classroom with interactive learning resources designed to teach primary school pupils about where their food comes from, highlighting the ‘Field to Fork trail’ and our activities are linked to numerous areas of the national curriculum.
We can visit school and can cater the full spectrum of ages from EYFS through to Year 6.
Here is our current roadshow timetable;
Autumn Term 1—East Cornwall Area
Autumn Term 2—North Cornwall Area
Spring Term 1—West Cornwall Area
Spring Term 2—Camborne & Redruth Area
Summer Term 1—Truro, Falmouth & Penryn Area
Summer Term 2—St Austell, Newquay & St Columb Area
