Need help finding information? Have any questions about this years show?
The Farm & Country Days are an educational event held annually at the Royal Cornwall Events Centre.
It's specifically aimed at Cornish primary school children, from Year 3 and 4 (aged 7 to 9 years.)
750 children per day enjoy a hands-on, interactive learning journey to see how their food travels from farm to plate. Since the events inception in 2013 nearly 9000 pupils have taken part.
More than 50 exhibits illustrate each aspect of the local farming and food production industry. More than 400 volunteers from the industry give up their time and expertise freely to make the event happen.
As a follow up to our Farm & Country Days, the children who attend are invited to enter into a competition, this changes every year and has ranged from writing poems about the Countryside right through to designing an agricultural selfie frame. The winning entry wins a family ticket to the Royal Cornwall Show along with other goodies for the school.
Every child that attends the days will also receive a free ticket to the Royal Cornwall Show, so what are you waiting for? Get your school signed up!
