Matt Coulter is a prolific, world-class stuntman and The Kangaroo Kid, as he is better known, is heading west as one of the star attractions at this year’s Royal Cornwall Show.
The show’s main ring is the focal point of entertainment at the event and is a familiar stomping ground for Matt, who hails from Brisbane on Australia’s Gold Coast.
He has impressed the Royal Cornwall crowds on several occasions before with his fast and furious quad bike show – and he never fails to excite!
Thrilling audiences across the country with his amazing stunts, he is well known for his spectacular jumps and willingness to tackle whatever is put in his path, which could be anything - buses, cars, tractors or 4 x 4s.
A former Australian, Italian and UK quad bike racing champion, The Kangaroo Kid made the transition from the track to showman and began appearing at events thirty years ago.
Matt’s typically dry Australian sense of humour is used to great effect during the light-hearted commentary he provides from his helmet during his high-octane performances.
Talking ahead of his latest visit to Cornwall’s largest annual event, he said:
“It’s a pleasure to be returning to the Royal Cornwall Show on the 7th, 8th and 9th June. It’s going to be great fun and beautiful weather, I can tell already, so see you all there.”
A varied line-up of headline acts and events will ensure a very busy main ring programme for the 120,000 show-goers that organisers expect to attend over the three days.
